About Dr. Dimitrios Lintzeris, DO, CWS-P

Dr. Dimitrios Lintzeris is a board-certified family physician and Certified Wound Specialist (CWS-P) through the American Board of Wound Management. Since 2008, he has dedicated his career to the practice of advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine, combining hands-on clinical expertise with a deep passion for education and innovation.
Leadership in Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine
As the Medical Director of the UNC Health Wayne Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center since 2012, Dr. Lintzeris has led a multidisciplinary team committed to improving healing outcomes through evidence-based protocols and compassionate, patient-centered care.
His extensive experience includes the treatment of chronic and complex wounds, diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, venous leg ulcers, and radiation tissue damage, with a focus on integrating best practices and emerging research into daily clinical decision-making.

Dr. Lintzeris has served as a clinical preceptor and educator for several academic institutions, including:
